Kate Middleton's Obama meeting dress sells out
Marriage hasn't slowed down the woman formerly known as Kate Middleton's abillity to influence fashion trends. The camel-colored, body-hugging Reiss dress Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge wore to her meeting with Barack and Michelle Obama on Tuesday (May 24) is sparking yet another fashion frenzy.
"The dress is flying off the shelves in stores in both the U.K. and the U.S.," a spokesperson for Reiss tells RadarOnline.com. If you don't have a Reiss retail location nearby, you may be out of luck procuring one for the time being. The company's website is "currently not available due to unprecedented demand."
The "Shola" dress sells for approximately $340 and we wouldn't be surprised to learn Reiss is rushing more into production. In November 2010, the blue Issa London dress Middleton wore when the royal engagement was announced also sold out within hours of the event.
And, immediately following the couple's April 29 wedding, knockoffs of Middleton's Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown were already available in a range of prices.
